Bits of writing news

I heard from the folks publishing Ghost Maps that they've survived the collapse of General Distribution Services (which threatened and threatens many small Canadian presses). Hurray! Also, the launch of Ghost Maps is tenatively set for early 2004. Write to me if you want to hear when it's available.

I also heard from Grayson Books that the anthology of marriage poems Proposing on the Brooklyn Bridge will be available Valentine's day, 2003, in the US at least. (In Canada, you may have to order it: another GDS casualty) I just got the galleys; they look great. "Bridge of Birds" will be included.

I'm reading at a Canadian Authors' Association event at Kitchener City Hall next Monday evening, September 9th, at 7:30 in the Conestoga Room. All are welcome. This is good news for me which I'm not allowed to tell you about. Check this space Monday!

And, of course, Eden Mills is this weekend. I'm reading on the Fringe at 3:30 on Sunday. I'm so excited!

I cannot wait until I can have copies of your books on my shelf, and to be able to go into bookstores and see them there, all shiny and new.
