Found my calling
I want to be the person who names the paint colours. Ancho, Columbine, Pale Naples, Sea Glass, First Crocus, Sunflower, Basil, Cloud, Nightmare, and (new today!) Botticelli. And that's just the part of the house we're done with.
I love lists. They're so lush.
Kinds of apples: Fugi, Paula, Ginger Gold, Red Delicious, Granny Smith, Courtland, Empire, McIntosh, Honeycrisp, Red Rome, Johnathan, Northern Spy, Liberty, Pippin, Pound Sweet.
Unusual light effects I've personally seen: Newton's Rings, the green flash, crespeculuar rays, the glory, sundog, moonbow, mirage, laser dapple, the Northern lights, Cherenkov radiation.
Poetry forms: Sonnet, Villanelle, Terza Rima, Ballad, Haiku, Hikuban, Ode, Tanka, Ghazal, Pantoum, Acrostics, Limerick, Sestina, Soji, Renga, Cinquian.

nightmare is all black, white and grey tinged with a very dark dark red.
As for place names, we always were glad to get through Climax, Michigan. Fildathia (that’s from W. - I asked him for fanciful place names). New Zealand (where’s the old one?), Brest, Quiogue, Mastic Beach, Zimbabwe, Rhodesia, Tribeca, Lovelock, Corning, Mayo, and Astor.
Nightmare is, as you might expect, black. A little bit of grey or purple. It’s on the wrought-iron railings. They look far better in “nightmare” than they did in beige with gold speckles.
