In and Out

In came another rejection for my Sir Gawaine proposal, this one from Kids Can -- an actual letter, which is classy. For those playing along at home, that makes four NOs and one MAYBE, and three publishers I haven't heard from yet.

Out went my submission to the milieu press portfolio project. I sent them 17 pages of stuff: mixed some biblicial voice poems with some devotionals, which gave the portfolio an interesting ebb and flow. I was excited by how it came together -- wonderful to see "Suffrage to Water" next to "After the Flood," for example, or the Job poems next to "The Book of Wisdom." Will hear by June if they will want to publish it.
