Psalm 32 (Lord what I cannot say)

Lord what I cannot say soaks
into me my bones
combs with no honey
stone-soaked hardened
heavy they weigh me
weak as a rag I
stumble, stagger O open
me break stone bones make
me again in light let me
open for you everything find you
everywhere

Erin, if you ever do stop writing, I’ll come up to Canada, hunt you down, tie you up and stick you in a room with a pen and paper.

It’s stuff like this—you make the tops of other people’s heads come off. ;-)

Amen. Besides, you have such a great title, Seal up the Thunder—shame to waste it. Love, P

This one is a little too abstract or jumbled for me. I think it needs more structure or something. I don’t know, but I’m sure you’ll rewrite it until even a poetry illiterate like me can get it. BTW, I think Psalm 88 is great, and you know I love other stuff you’ve written.

Keep up the great work, and congrats again on having a book come out. I want to donate copies to the local library, and maybe even Mercy HS library. Would you have any problems with that?

Psalm 88 (Oh God, I am under the water) was the previous entry in this blog.

Blank Pages is the next entry in this blog.
