Malahat

The Malahat Review just picked up "Leah Names Her Sons." I'm pleased. It's a favourite poem, and it's been rejected four times already; five would have been hard.

Does anyone know if Marlene Cookshaw has moved on from Malahat? I shall miss her if so. She has an editor's eye: like an eagle's eye, but broader in its delights.

I wonder if it's too late for to resubmit the other five old testament poems from that bundle. Anybody got a favourite magazine with a fast turn-around time?

Erin, Magma [http://magmapoetry.com/submissions.html] are very good, and accept email submissions.

As is Lichen [http://www.lichenjournal.ca/submit/index.htm].

It seems all the progressive-minded journals are in Canada.

Stride [http://www.stridemagazine.co.uk/] has a very quick turnaround.

Best of luck!

Thank you, Ivy … I decided to give Magma a try.

I’ll tell you all about my favourite Canuk magazines if you tell me about your favourite UK ones.
