Random MS design update

Working over the Thunder manuscript design tonight. Did I mention that I chose to work on the bookended design? No word from early readers. Only been a week. I try not to fidget.

Tonight's big epiphany: I think "As the foxglove loves the fur of the bee" (previously orphaned) will fit in the manuscript section on Wisdom writings (since it is from the Song of Songs, after all). It would go in between the opening "Proverbs 30," and "Night Litany." "Proverbs 30" has that bit about "love in this world" at the end, which leads into the sexual side of "foxglove." And "Night Litany," though quite different in tone, shares with "foxglove" an autobiographical cast.

:::Reads the section through::: Yup, yup. That might work. Though the Wisdom section is still choppy.

I know this probably seems minor. But I like "foxglove." (Plus, including it should further irk and annoy the people who are irked and annoyed with this book and send me hate mail -- but that's just a bonus.)

I have grown more comfortable with the lack of Jesus in the book.

I might get to use that Icon of Mary Magdalene for the cover! Ooo, excited.

Don’t forget I’d be happy to proofread.

I would probably still not have a problem giving a copy of “Thunder” to my uber-Catholic relatives if foxglove were included. At first I wasn’t certain, but then I remembered the Songs that my parents read to each other during honeymoon. So if you get more hate mail, just send them back juicy quotes, I always liked the one about “my breasts are like towers”.

Adding to Widsom definitely would help. No idea how to make it less choppy.

Thanks, all!

(Meg, I don’t know if my breasts are like towers. More like substantial earth-work berms, really.)
