I note with pleasure that someone has nominated Vivid for a Best of Blog Award in the Inspirational Blog category. Must be a pretty elastic definition of "inspirational." But I'm glad someone feels that way. I would lobby shamelessly for votes, except I don't know how one does vote, so ... eh.

And I note with sorrow that Tuesday is my last day as Writer in Residence at the Waterloo Public Library. I loved this gig. It required a lot of time and energy, but unlike most jobs it rewarded them and gave them back multiplied. I met so many wonderful community writers and readers.
We will be having a farewell bash on Thursday, January 6th, from 7 - 9 -- I have invited my favourite wonderful community writers to come and read. All welcome.

And I note with panic that Seal up the Thunder is due off the presses in about 70 days. Yikes! And that stupid Eve poem still isn't done.
