Easter Morning
Beloved, let's change. It's dawn
the day of changes, and I'm awake
for the first time and strong
as a bird. The days are filling
and lengthening -- we will have time.
Let's strike out somewhere,
steal a car and set the cat free.
Let's take nothing: a staff
and one pair of sandals, such books
as we can tell each other,
such music as is made
by the heart. We'll get a carseat soon.
We'll sing
for food. Let's drive
until the music changes, then the language.
Let's head south
until we get to spring.

Sick as a dog and behind about 10 days on my e-mail. But the book launches were smashing!
