Hope everything comes out okay. I wish my mom had been a blogger; I don’t even know if there’s a black and white picture of her when she was expecting me.
I too am waiting - to be a grandmother again. The boy was due a week ago Friday. It is hard to wait.

There’s something nice, occasionally, about having a slow dial-up modem .. your pictures started as bright, golden blurs and pulled themselves, stepwise, into focus … like Vivian, they were worth waiting for ..

My congratulations to you!! I just hear from Marguerite about Vivian. The news, of course, brought me to your & James’ blogs, which I always find interesting and moving. I love the pictures, too. Young Vivian has a great deal going for her!
You probably won’t pick this up for some time, but congratulations! Vivien is a beauty. Huge smiles over here. Sleep whenever she sleeps, that’s the only advice I can give, oh, and accept every single offer of help and smile graciously. It gives the helper as much pleasure to help as it gives you respite!
