Vivian's lullaby

It's not of any great artistic merit and may induce diabetic shock in those susceptible, but nonetheless I'll put it here. Improvised lullabies are a big part of my -- and James's -- creative output these days. This one, unlike the anti-monster lullaby, actually puts Vivi to sleep. The tune is the Coventry Carol, the Christmas carol that begins "lully lullay, thou little tiny child."

The night has come, my little Vivian
By loo by loo, by lie
The night has come, go off to sleep
By loo by loo, by lie

Your tummy's full, my little Vivian
By loo by loo, by lie
your tummy's full, go off to sleep
By loo by loo, by lie

Your mom is close, my little Vivian
By loo by loo, by lie
Your mom is close, go off to sleep
By loo by loo, by lie

I'll stroke your hair, my little Vivian
By loo by loo, by lie
I'll stroke your hair, go off to sleep
By loo by loo, by lie

Let your eyes droop, my little Vivian
By loo by loo, by lie
let your eyes droop, go off to sleep
By loo by loo, by lie

Your hands uncurl, my little Vivian
By loo by loo, by lie
your hands uncurl, go off to sleep
By loo by loo, by lie

Your body's soft, my little Vivian
By loo by loo, by lie
Your body's soft, go off to sleep
By loo by loo, by lie

Your breath is deep, my little Vivian
By loo by loo, by lie
Your breath is deep, go off to sleep
By loo by loo, by lie

Your dreams are big, my little Vivian
By loo by loo, by lie
Your dreams are big, go off to sleep
By loo by loo, by lie
