Rugalumps and Hoophs

taking a break from dirty poetry inspired by the classics (yeah, sorry about that) to do more kid rhymes. I have decided that the collection will be called "The Grand and Grim Grimorie of Everyday Imaginary Monsters," and will concern the monsters most commonly found around the house. Such as:

The rugalump makes lumps in rugs
and quickly sneaks away.
It tangles underneath your feet
to see what you will say.
Your umps and heys
your bumps and brays
are music to its ears.
There's nothing rugalumps like more
than falling human rears.

The hooph's a kind of silence
that settles through a house
when doors are locked and lights are off
and no one is about.
It's something like cold front
and something like a dream:
once you turn the lights on
it's nowhere to be seen.

I really love these two poems. Hey we got rugalumps in our house too! These have got to be published.

Your honeyed eyes, Juventius was the previous entry in this blog.

For Calvus, mouring Quintilla is the next entry in this blog.
