Hey, help me name my book!

So, this weekend I signed the contract to turn my first year Mommy diary into a memior/gift book/thingy. The success or failure of this book will probably hinge on the title, which is needed now for inclusion in marketing copy, and which (of course) I can't get right. I hate this and am really stuck. It's a funny book, but not *just* a funny book -- some of it is quite dark, and some poignant. I'd like to have a title that suggested all of that, as well as something of the sharp-eyed nature, but can I come up with one? No.

So, here's your chance, internet! Name my book! Be thanked effusively in public and share the thrill of being in print! Win a free copy, personally smeared with jam by Vivian, Queen of the Universe!

Did somebody say JAM?

(Did someone say "jam"?)

Anyway, here is my list of unsatisfactory titles.

    The Profound and the Dreary
In the midst of life we are in diapers
Bless me, June Cleaver, for I have Sinned
    Uncomplicated Guilt is For Amatuers
Dispatches from the Land of Poo
    Baby Dearest
    The Thousand-Diaper Stare

All of which require a subtitle (excerpts from a mother's journal or some such thing). Sigh. I am so lousy at this.

I think the June Cleaver one works best. It has irony, a touch of humour, some rebellion, guilt, and it suggests what it’s all about—being a mom. Subtitle could be: confessions of a first-time mom.

Or:

The Mongoose Diaries (which is unusual and eye-catching) with an explanatory subtitel.

I rather like “The Thousand Diaper Stare.”

I suggest: Hey Blue Eyes, love, love, love

This is better (my suggestion after sober second thought) “The Mongoose and me”

“Of Birds.”

…Good start, needs work.

Is this an Internet jam session?

Title suggestion:

Vivi

“In Search of the Elusive Peekaboo”. That one came to me a few days ago, for whatever it’s worth.

For Calvus, mouring Quintilla was the previous entry in this blog.

Vivi's first Halloween is the next entry in this blog.
